Chapter V


COORDINATION AND COOPERATION WITH INSTITUTIONS AT HOME

The officials of a Royal Nepalese Mission should establish direct contact with the following institutions for any activity related to promotion of Nepal's export to host country/countries.

  • National Planning Commission

  • Ministry of Foreign Affairs

  • Ministry of Industry, Commerce & Supplies

  • Ministry of Finance

  • Trade Promotion Center

  • Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry

  • Nepal Chamber of Commerce

  • Products Associations

The Trade Promotion Center (TPC) should be the main institution responsible to coordinate trade related activities of the Royal Nepalese Missions. The functions of the TPC are highlighted in Annex I.

The TPC should mainly undertake the following responsibilities to assist the Royal Nepalese Missions in the areas of trade promotion:

  • providing all information on export products and their availability, exporters, export rules and regulations, relevant publications, etc...,

  • acting and disseminating trade related letters enquiries received from the Royal Nepalese Missions to concerned institutions and associations in Nepal and

  • coordinating with concerned institutions for the export promotional activities of the Royal Nepalese Missions.
